Everything that surrounds me has flowed into the drawing of the puppet theater curtain. My beloved carpet, my even more beloved cat, the birds that can be seen in our yard and on the street and the dark red leaves of the wild vine that grows there in the fall. The peacock that came very close to us during our visit to Peacock Island and the plants that grow on the balcony. The curtain should hang in the room like a Garden of Eden and transport us to another reality. Puppet theater is one of the best games there is for children. It contains everything that children should practise: Imagination to invent stories, empathy to think themselves into the characters. They learn to speak freely and to perform. However, children need guidance to act out plays and ideally parents who do it together with them. For example, you could put on a little story for the third birthday party with perhaps just two puppets and then every year another puppet is added and a new episode of the story. Perhaps you are familiar with the puppets that the painter Paul Klee made for his son. New ones were added every year, and in the end there were over 40.
