This wooden rhinoceros stands on a board with wheels and can be pulled. It is lovingly handmade in the Erzgebirge and is a so-called tyre animal. This is a very old technique of turning “tyres” that have approximately the cross-section of an animal, then cutting these tyres into pieces and carving these animals from them. There is still a family business that masters this old craft.
