These hats are made of 80% alpacka and 20% cotton. Super soft and comfortable and very warm at the same time.
The knitted items are knitted in Peru by a small women’s cooperative. This small aid programme is organised by Judy, who runs a Walldorf Kindergarten in Berlin and wanted to do something for the inhabitants of the small mountain village her mother comes from. At first there were only 3 women knitting there, now there are 15, but still a mule collects all the jumpers and brings them to the next bigger town, from where the items are then sent until they end up in Berlin Charlottenburg. The photo is of these same mules.
